Pastor Becky Reed of Lifeline Community Church in Buena Park, California, has lost her mother Florence Mwala in Kenya.
Ms. Mwala has been battling a myelofibrosis condition for 11 years. This is a bone marrow disorder that disrupts the body’s normal production of blood cells. It result in extensive scarring in bone marrow, leading to severe anemia, weakness, fatigue, and often an enlarged spleen and liver.
Plans were underway for Ms. Mwala to get specialized medical attention in India, but her condition kept deteriorating and had to be stabilized in Nairobi before she could travel. Now she is gone, gone to be with the Lord.
According to Pastor Becky, via her Facebook page:
“Fare thee well… Fare thee well mom. Being absent in the body is being present with the Lord. Your faith, brevity and your trust in Lord give us the strength to face this tough time.
You are no longer in pain and no more suffering. I wanted to see you on Sunday you but you left a few hours before my arrival. Fare thee well.
…..a mini Harambee will be held on Thursday 19th at Tumaini house and burial Wednesday 25th in Kangundo.”
Please support the Mwala family with prayers. You can also send a check to
