Kenya’s Consul General Leads Kenyans in West Coast of America to mark 53rd Jamhuri Day


Kenyans’ in the West Coast of America marked this year’s Jamhuri day celebrations in an auspicious ceremony led by Los Angeles Consul General Maurice Nakitare, at a hotel in Los Angeles.

Invited speakers, including a representative from LA Mayor Eric Garcetti’s office spoke in glowing terms on the cordial relationship between Kenya and the United States. The speakers observed that the Diaspora community has made America a diverse country with a multitude of cultures and ways of life.

This was the 53rd Jamhuri day celebration, a day where Kenyans mark independence from the British colonial rule.
