In a world short of good samaritans, Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture Willy Bett did something out of the ordinary-at least not associated with power-wielding men and women.
His official car was stopped on a busy highway by well-wishers looking for any available means to rush an accident victim to hospital. The victim had sustained injuries after being hit by a boda boda.
The CS had his aides override their standard duties, as they had to lift the victim from the roadside and help into the waiting official government guzzler.
The woman was then rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital.
For his part, the CS jumped into one of his escort cars and continued with his journey to attend a meeting.
